Concentrated natural fish oil containing omega-3 triglycerides (EPA, DHA), vitamin D₃.

Each vegicaps soft contains: Concentrated Natural Fish Oil 1000mg; providing Omega-3 Marine Triglycerides 700mg as: EPA 360mg, DHA 240mg; Vitamin D3 100iu.

Pharmacology: Mechanism of Action: Fish Oils provide the essential Omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA).
EPA + DHA supplementation ranging from 0.5 to 1.8g/d significantly reduces subsequent cardiac and all-cause mortality. EPA + DHA supplementation of 2 to 4g/d as component of the medical management of hypertriglyceridemia.
Potential mechanisms by which natural Omega-3 may reduce risk for CVD includes: decrease very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) and triglycerides, reduce susceptibility of the heart to ventricular arrhythmia, antithrombogenic, retard growth of atherosclerotic plaque, promote nitric-induced endothelial relaxation and mildly hypotensive.
Moderate to severe vitamin D deficiency is a risk factor for developing cardiovascular diseases. Several mechanisms may explain the link between vitamin D deficiency and CVD; participate in the regulation of renin-angiotensin, inhibition of vascular smooth-muscle proliferation, suppression of vascular calcification, regulation of inflammatory cytokines.

Indicated as adjuvant therapy in cardiovascular health, particularly in hypertriglyceridemia and post myocardial infarction (MI). It also appears to have synergistic effect in the management of inflammatory response, joint health, brain and eyes health, and immune system. As a dietary supplement.

Hypersensitivity to Fish Oil, EPA or DHA, precautionary use in patients with bleeding disorders and patients on warfarin.

Taken at recommended dosage, no known undesirable effects.

Anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
